Today, we invite you into the leafy green world of Sherwood Forest for a brand-new tale about the legendary Robin Hood—but not the one you’ve heard before.

Robin Hood

A long time ago, in the green and whispering woods of Sherwood Forest, there lived a hero named Robin Hood. He wore a green cloak, carried a bow and arrow, and had a big, kind heart. Everyone in Nottingham knew his name, because Robin Hood helped the poor by taking gold from the greedy and giving it back to the people.

But one bright morning, Robin woke up to strange news.

“Robin!” shouted Little John, his best friend. “A golden crown has been stolen from the village! It belonged to the children’s hospital!”

Robin’s eyes widened. “A crown? Who would steal from sick children?”

“It was a gift from the Queen,” said Little John. “The Sheriff of Nottingham took it, and now it’s gone!”

Robin jumped to his feet. “Then we’re going to get it back.”

🧭 The Clues in the Forest

Robin Hood, Little John, and Merry Marian—a brave girl with red braids and a slingshot—set out into the forest. As they walked, they found a trail of shiny golden leaves.

“Look!” said Marian. “These leaves are from the crown!”

The trail led to a hidden cave. Robin peered inside. “Stay close,” he whispered.

Inside the cave, they found a clever little fox named Felix. He wore tiny glasses and was reading a book.

“Hello,” said Felix politely. “Are you looking for something?”

“We’re looking for a stolen crown,” said Robin.

Felix nodded. “Ah, yes. A grumpy guard dropped it while chasing a squirrel. It rolled down into the Goblin Tunnels.”

“The Goblin Tunnels?” said Little John. “That doesn’t sound very friendly.”

“It’s not,” said Felix, “but I’ll help you.”

🕳️ Down into the Goblin Tunnels

With Felix leading the way, the team crawled down into the dark Goblin Tunnels. They could hear goblins giggling and playing games in the distance.

“Let’s be quiet,” said Marian. “Goblins love to play tricks.”

They tiptoed until they reached a wide cave filled with goblins. In the middle of the room sat the golden crown, being used as a candy bowl!

“That’s ours!” shouted Little John before Robin could stop him.

The goblins all looked up. “Ooooh! Visitors!”

One goblin stood tall. “If you want the crown, you must play a game. Beat us in a challenge, and you can take it.”

Robin Hood smiled. “Alright. What’s the challenge?”

“A riddle!” the goblin said. “Here it is:

I am not alive, but I grow.
I don’t have lungs, but I need air.
I don’t have a mouth, but water kills me.
What am I?
”

Marian whispered, “I think I know…”

Robin looked at her and nodded. “Go ahead.”

Marian smiled. “The answer is… fire!”

The goblins clapped and laughed. “Correct! You win! Take the crown—but leave us the candy!”

👑 A Gift Returned

Robin Hood carefully picked up the golden crown. “Thank you, friends,” he said kindly.

On the way back through the forest, the team sang songs and skipped over logs. The birds chirped as if they were cheering.

When they returned to the village, the children at the hospital ran out to greet them.

“You brought it back!” they cried.

Robin bent down and placed the crown on a little girl’s head. “A treasure belongs where it brings the most joy.”

The whole village cheered for Robin Hood, Merry Marian, Little John, and Felix the Fox.

And from that day on, no matter how small the problem—or how big the mystery—everyone knew that Robin Hood would always be there to help.

💚 The End

Moral of the Story:

True heroes aren’t the strongest or the fastest—they are the ones who use kindness, courage, and clever thinking to help others. When we work together and stand up for what’s right, even the smallest voices can make the biggest difference.

In “Robin Hood and the Lost Crown,” our favorite hero teaches us that real treasure isn’t gold or jewels—it’s helping others, doing what’s right, and working together as a team. With a trail of clues, a clever riddle, and new friends along the way, Robin Hood reminds us that even the biggest problems can be solved with a little bravery and a lot of heart.

So the next time you face a challenge, just remember: even Robin Hood once needed help—and look what they accomplished together.
