Today, we invite you into the leafy green world of Sherwood Forest for a brand-new tale about the legendary Robin Hoodâbut not the one you’ve heard before.
Robin Hood
A long time ago, in the green and whispering woods of Sherwood Forest, there lived a hero named Robin Hood. He wore a green cloak, carried a bow and arrow, and had a big, kind heart. Everyone in Nottingham knew his name, because Robin Hood helped the poor by taking gold from the greedy and giving it back to the people.
But one bright morning, Robin woke up to strange news.
âRobin!â shouted Little John, his best friend. âA golden crown has been stolen from the village! It belonged to the childrenâs hospital!â
Robinâs eyes widened. âA crown? Who would steal from sick children?â
âIt was a gift from the Queen,â said Little John. âThe Sheriff of Nottingham took it, and now itâs gone!â
Robin jumped to his feet. âThen weâre going to get it back.â

đ§ The Clues in the Forest
Robin Hood, Little John, and Merry Marianâa brave girl with red braids and a slingshotâset out into the forest. As they walked, they found a trail of shiny golden leaves.
âLook!â said Marian. âThese leaves are from the crown!â
The trail led to a hidden cave. Robin peered inside. âStay close,â he whispered.
Inside the cave, they found a clever little fox named Felix. He wore tiny glasses and was reading a book.
âHello,â said Felix politely. âAre you looking for something?â
âWeâre looking for a stolen crown,â said Robin.
Felix nodded. âAh, yes. A grumpy guard dropped it while chasing a squirrel. It rolled down into the Goblin Tunnels.â
âThe Goblin Tunnels?â said Little John. âThat doesnât sound very friendly.â
âItâs not,â said Felix, âbut Iâll help you.â

đłď¸ Down into the Goblin Tunnels
With Felix leading the way, the team crawled down into the dark Goblin Tunnels. They could hear goblins giggling and playing games in the distance.
âLetâs be quiet,â said Marian. âGoblins love to play tricks.â
They tiptoed until they reached a wide cave filled with goblins. In the middle of the room sat the golden crown, being used as a candy bowl!
âThat’s ours!â shouted Little John before Robin could stop him.
The goblins all looked up. âOoooh! Visitors!â
One goblin stood tall. âIf you want the crown, you must play a game. Beat us in a challenge, and you can take it.â
Robin Hood smiled. âAlright. Whatâs the challenge?â
âA riddle!â the goblin said. âHere it is:
I am not alive, but I grow.
I donât have lungs, but I need air.
I donât have a mouth, but water kills me.
What am I?â
Marian whispered, âI think I knowâŚâ
Robin looked at her and nodded. âGo ahead.â
Marian smiled. âThe answer is⌠fire!â
The goblins clapped and laughed. âCorrect! You win! Take the crownâbut leave us the candy!â

đ A Gift Returned
Robin Hood carefully picked up the golden crown. âThank you, friends,â he said kindly.
On the way back through the forest, the team sang songs and skipped over logs. The birds chirped as if they were cheering.
When they returned to the village, the children at the hospital ran out to greet them.
âYou brought it back!â they cried.

Robin bent down and placed the crown on a little girlâs head. âA treasure belongs where it brings the most joy.â
The whole village cheered for Robin Hood, Merry Marian, Little John, and Felix the Fox.
And from that day on, no matter how small the problemâor how big the mysteryâeveryone knew that Robin Hood would always be there to help.
