The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Once upon a time there lived a young boy in a small village. who was in charge of watching over the village sheeps. Although he loved his job, he was often bored and needed something to entertain himself. One day he was mischievous.

One sunny afternoon, while sitting on a grassy hill, the boy thought that if I pretended that a wolf was chasing my sheep, he shouted for help.

” Help, Help” A wolf has sprung up and he is eating my sheep. Hearing his cries, the villagers rushed towards the boy with sticks and stones.

But when they arrived, they found the boy laughing and the boy told them that there was no wolf, I was just joking, and the villagers were very angry and went back.

A few days later, the boy felt bored again. Remembering the fun he had last time, he shouted once more, “Help! Help! A wolf is attacking my sheep!”

Again, the villagers came running, only to find the boy giggling. “You fell for it again!” he exclaimed. The villagers were angry. “This is your last warning! We won’t come if you call us again!”

Days turned into weeks, and the boy continued to play his trick, ignoring the villagers’ warnings. But one day, a real wolf appeared. It crept silently towards the flock, and the boy’s heart raced in fear.

“Help! Help! A wolf is here!” he shouted with all his might. But this time, the villagers didn’t come. They thought it was just another trick.

The wolf attacked the sheep, scattering them in all directions. The boy ran to the village, desperate and scared. When he finally found the villagers, he cried, “Please help! The wolf is really here!”

But the villagers shook their heads. “You’ve lied too many times. We won’t believe you anymore.”

Feeling sad and ashamed, the boy realized that he had lost the villagers’ trust. The wolf took several sheep that day, and the boy learned a hard lesson: lying can lead to serious consequences.

From that day on, he promised to always tell the truth, and he never cried wolf again.
